Sophia is a Navajo (Diné) woman from White Mesa, Arizona. She is a first-year student majoring in Physiology & Medical Sciences and minoring in Public Health. Sophia intends to pursue Medical School as a member of the United States Commissioned Corps to become an Anesthesiologist. So she can work with the Indian Health Services to not only increase the numbers for Indigenous doctors as well as a woman in medicine.
