Nevaeh Nez

Nevaeh Nez is a Junior at Flagstaff High School in Northern Arizona. She is a member of the Hopi Tribe from the village of Hotevilla. She is from the Badger and Butterfly people. Nevaeh is also apart of the Navajo Nation. She is born for the Towering House people. Nevaeh is an active member in Flagstaff, AZ and on the Hopi Reservation. She is apart of many clubs in her high school such as Arizona Students Aiming for Prevention (ASAP), HOSA- Future Health Occupations, and much more. She takes on her Hopi side by being part of Kwang'toi'hooyam Hopi Dance Group that does many culture exchanges through out Arizona. She is not only an active member of her communities, she is a proud daughter of Monica Polingyouma and Fernando Nez. Nevaeh plans to continue her education after high school, and has hopes of becoming a Biomedical Researcher/or Engineer. She also plans to return to the Hopi Reservation to express the importance of Higher Education and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to the Hopi youth.
